Record Sales Continue for The Orchards Group

In the month of September, The Orchards Group closed eight new active adult homes at their two metro Atlanta communities. The popular active adult builder has seen tremendous success in 2013, and they expect one of their communities, The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm, to be sold out by the end of the year. The Orchards of East Cherokee, their second active adult community, is now more than 60 percent sold out.

Each community saw four new home closings last month, with six of the total closings coming from home buyers who were already metro Atlanta residents. This is just further proof that the metro Atlanta real estate market has improved significantly since the beginning of 2011.

According to Mitch Block, the director of sales and marketing for The Orchards Group, 75 percent of their new home buyers were moving in from out of state during the depths of the recession. “The local prospective buyers simply could not sell their existing homes, which was necessary for them to be able to buy new homes.”

Thanks to the improvement that’s been seen in the Atlanta resale market, The Orchards Group is experiencing increased sales because active adults are now able to sell their home.
